Recipe: Granola Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups Vegetable Oil 1 2/3 cups Honey 4 teaspoons Molasses 3/4 teaspoon Salt 1 tablespoon Cinnamon 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar -- (optional) dry mixture: 19 cups Rolled Oats OR 16 cups Oats -- AND 3 cups Whole Wheat Flakes 3 cups any of the following: Chopped Almonds Shredded Coconut Raisins Dates Instructions: Place all ingredients for the wet mixture in a large saucepan and heat over medium heat just until they can all be stirred together. Do Not Boil. While wet mixture is warming, mix dry ingredients together in a large stainless steel bowl. Pour wet mixture over dry mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until dry ingredients are coated well. Spread mixture onto large cookie sheets and bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour, checking and stirring every 20 minutes. Remove from oven, and continue to stir mixture every 10 minutes while cooling. Store in airtight containers in a cool dry place. Use within 6 to 8 months.
