Recipe: Spaghetti Alla Carbonara
Ingredients...
12 oz spaghetti
salt and pepper
6 oz streaky bacon,rinded & chopped
3 eggs
3 tbsps cream
1 1/2 oz grated parmesan
1 1/2 oz butter
Instructions...
1) Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al
dente then drain well.
2) Meanwhile fry the bacon in its own fat until crisp.
Drain well.
3) Beat the eggs with the cream, cheese, a little salt and
plenty of pepper.
4) Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Add the egg mixture
and stir until just beginning to thicken.
5) Add the spaghetti and bacon. Mix well and serve
immedietely.
