Recipe: Blueberry Sauce
This recipe is from (the now-defunct) FoodDay. There's no need to mash the blueberries, most dissolve naturally. This is especially good if made with too-tart-to-eat blueberries; if made with edibles, try less sugar. -- Harimad.
2 c. blueberries
1/4 c. orange juice
1/4 c. water
2 T. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 t. orange zest
1/8 t. nutmeg
Dash salt
Simmer all ingredients over medium heat until thickened, at least 5 minutes. Makes 2 cups.
