Ingredients:



  • 2 cups brown flour
  • 2 cups dates, seedless
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup ghee
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 Tbs. melted butter


Preparation:


  • Put flour in a pan and stir over low heat until light yellow in color, sift and place aside.
  • Add water to the dates, stir over low heat until dates dissolve, strain.
  • Mix sugar with ghee, stir over low heat until golden, add the date juice, continue to stir over heat until boil, then let cool.
  • Dissolve flour in half the quantity of date mixture, stir over low heat, gradually adding the remaining date mixture, stir constantly. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and the pan cover, cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, spread some of the melted butter over the top.
