Ingredients:
- 2 cups semolina
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup yogurt
- ½ cup oil
- Cup water
- 1 Tsp. Baking powder
- ½ Tsp. sodium bicarbonate
- ¼ cup whole blanched almonds
- 1 ½ cup syrup

Preparation:
- Grease a round cake pan, pre-heat oven
at 450o.
- Sift the dry ingredients together, add
oil, yogurt, and water into a large bowl, mix well until
smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the cake pan,
spread it evenly, decorate with the whole almonds (or slice
them in half)
- Place into oven, bake until golden.
- While still hot, pour the cool syrup
over it evenly and cut into diamond shapes around the
almonds and serve.
