Ingredients:



    Dough:

  • 4 Arabian Bread
  • 1 ¼ cup water

    Filling:

  • 2 cups minced meat
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. Garlic, crushed
  • 4 Tbs. Celery
  • ¼ toasted pinenuts
  • 2 Tbs. Oil
  • 2 Tbs. Salt
  • 2 Tbs. Black pepper
  • 2 Tbs. Mixed spices
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup oil, for frying


Preparation:


  • Cut the bread into small pieces, place into food processor, process until chopped, add 1 ¼ cup of water, continue to process until the mixture comes together in a ball.

Preparation of the filling:


  • Cook the meat, until dry. Add in the onion, garlic and celery, cook over moderate heat until dry. Add the seasonings and pinenuts.
  • Mix well. Cut the dough into small balls (walnut size) fill each piece with about a teaspoon full of the meat mixture (careful not to over fill). Make the dough into the shape of meatballs and fry them in a deep fryer over low heat until golden.
