Ingredients:



  • 1/4 cup Macaroni
  • 1 cup green lentils
  • 1 potato,slices
  • 2 onion, medium
  • 1/2 crushed garlic
  • 2 cups Sunflower or vegetable oil
  • 8 cups water
  • 3 whole Omani Lemon (dry lemon)
  • 1 Tbsp. salt, black pepper, and cummin


Preparation:


  • Boil Macaroni with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil for 5 minutes-drain
  • Clean and wash lentils, add potato, onion, 5 cups water and cook on moderate heat until tender, allow to cool, process until mashed.
  • Fry garlic in oil, add lentils mixture, macaroni, whole black (dry)lemon. Season with salt, black pepper and cummin, add water, and cook on low heat for 1 hour.
