This summer we all went to France in the
trusty (rusty) camper van... we had a great time. The van was very reliable and had no
mechanical or other problems (apart from a major water leak in the hot water heater which
must have happened during the winter frosts and had not been noticed... another job for
the Chevening Road bodger to sort out !!). We weren't robbed and we didn't get lost!
We set off from Dover to Calais on Monday 7th August and our first stop was the Domaine
d'Inchelin campsite near Breval in the Ile de France.
After a day of relaxing, dog mauling and swimming we set off
for a day in Paris...
Recognise the painting ?
After Paris and Domaine d'Inchelin we headed off into Burgundy and Les Bains campsite
Next stop was the Lac du Panthier which was fab but we don't
seem to have taken any photos. We moved on to a site near Anet which also had a fab
lake...
The next stop was near Epinal a campsite called Camping Du Lac de Bouzy, a very snazzy
place...
Rick had his first experience (and his last) of frogs legs and
snails ...
Then we set off for a city break in Reims the champagne capital
of the world...
A great trip all in all ...
