Here are some photos of the ranch. (It looks bigger than it really is -
honest!) We've been here for four years. It's amazing how the area
around us has grown! Be sure to check out the Tour of DFW page to see the
area around where we live.
This is the front of our house as seen from the front of the street. There
are two large Bald Cyprus pine trees that can't be seen in this photo, but
they're just outside the left and right margins of the photo. The roof is
relatively new as we had major hail damage from a storm in 1997. We saw
golf ball size hail pour from the sky. Remember, everything's bigger in Texas!
The pictures above are the back side of the house. The
winter's pretty mild in Dallas so we never drain the pool. It has a freeze
protector that starts the pool filter when it gets cold. As long as the
water moves it won't freeze.
We know our blood has thinned since moving from Michigan five
years ago. We thought the water was cold one day and didn't feel like
swimming - the thermometer read 75 degrees. I know, pretty pathetic, but
believe me, when the air temperature is 100+ the water feels great even when
it's 85!
Here's
a picture of the baby's room. No baby yet, but time is running out!
Notice the Winnie the Pooh motif - tres chic n'est pas! (French translation:
very cool isn't it!)
