He's here! Samuel Dominic Igrisan was born July 27th, 1999 at 10:49 in the morning. He weighed eight pounds seven ounces, and was 21 inches long at birth. Both Mom, Dad, and the Baby are well. Samuel was named after Ed's Great Uncle Sam (Ed's middle name is also Samuel) and Angela's Great Grand Father Dominic. We both thought that it would be nice to preserve some of our family heritage through the baby's name. Sammy seems to like his name even if Ed's Grandmother doesn't! When we have some more time, we'll share some of the labor and delivery story. Here's a little taste of the details, "We jumped into the Jeep at 7:05 AM and headed toward downtown. I remember thinking that the last thing I wanted to do was to have to drive Angela to the hospital in Dallas morning rush hour traffic, yet here we are...nobody wants to let me in. I honk my horn and merge into traffic. As if on cue, Angela braces herself for another contraction. I look at my watch and start counting. 30 seconds later the contraction's over; they're happening in five minute intervals. Traffic has stopped moving. I can see police lights up ahead, it looks like an accident, Angela lets out a muffled cry as another contraction starts..." O.K. - enough of that for a while, but you get the picture. Trust me, this story has a happy ending. For now, please enjoy these photos of our son and his family:
