Nashville's preeminent group of recording musicians. The Nashville String Machine was founded over 15 years ago by its contractor Carl Gorodetzky and has been the dominant recording ensemble since that time. Despite the name, the Nashville String Machine is more than just strings. We book everything from small rhythm sections to 75 piece orchestras. Our members have come here from all around the world and have extensive orchestral and recording backgrounds. Our musicians have members of such ensembles as the Boston Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony and the Hong Kong Philharmonic and are graduates of such institutions as the Julliard School of Music, the Curtis Institute, Indiana University, the Eastman School of Music, Yale, & USC.

One thing that sets recording with the Nashville String Machine apart from recording in other recording centers is the fact that we are a full time recording group. That means that we all have spent an average of 30 hours a week for years in the recording studio together as one cohesive ensemble. No pick-up groups here! Most of our members have been recording full time together for over 10 years. We waste no time with ensemble problems and quickly resolve note problems and play with a uniformity of style that is not seen elsewhere. Many arrangers and producers who come here for the first time tell us we produce a better product in half the time of other cities. Why record in Nashville?
