Blues/Rock Examples

These phrases are derived from the Minor Pentatonic scale in the key of A - Many more licks can be developed using these basic scale pockets - phrases using these pockets sound good in more rock or blues oriented tunes or when a straight major scale sound doesn't fit - for example, Merle Haggard's "Workingmans Blues". The .wav files were recorded in 8 bit, mono, 11kHz format to keep the file size to a minimum - no fancy recording gear here, just an old Technics tape deck and a microphone.
