April 15, 2009 - FBB IS BACK IN THE STUDIO! Finally, FBB is working on their up and coming CD. We hope to be finished with the recording stage of it in a couple of weeks. Then we'll get the final mix done and hope to send it off to get the CD's made by the first of May. That should mean we'll have them back and ready to sell by June 1! We're really excited about this new CD and think you will like the songs we decided to record on it. We'll keep you informed of the progress and when and where the CD party will be.
We would like to thank all who sent emails and cards expressing sympathy for the passing of Karen's Dad on March 26. It's been a trying time for our family but we know he is in a better place and has no hurts or pains anymore. Thanks again!

You can send a personal check or money order. Sorry, we won't be able to take credit cards. We're all proud of our CD and think all who listen to it will be pleased with it. The CD is currently available at our performances and in the Richmond area at the Plan 9 Music store on Cary St. There is a sample of what the CD looks like in our "PICTURES" section of this website.
The Flatland Bluegrass Band is an exciting home-grown Virginia Bluegrass band. They are now one of the state's most popular Bluegrass bands. The Flatland Bluegrass Band's members are veteran musicians who have many years of on-stage musical experience. They have performed from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chesapeake Bay, and from Northern to Southern Virginia. Through the years they have been chosen to play many of the top Bluegrass Festivals in the area. The tight harmonies and high-energy instrumentals make this an excellent group to entertain all ages with their mix of traditional & contemporary Bluegrass music as well as Bluegrass Gospel Music. The current members are Randy Grigg, guitar and vocals; Karen Grigg, mandolin and vocals; Josh Meade, banjo; and Fred Staggs, bass. The band performs for private events as well as public functions. Through the years the Band has opened for a number of Nashville musicians and played at many Bluegrass festivals with some of the top national Bluegrass acts.
