This page
is kind of a mish-mash. There are a couple of photos that I didn't have room for
anywhere else, but that I want to include on this site, some logos (most are
linked to other places on the web, if you want more information) and other
assorted odds-and-ends. Enjoy.
Yup, that's me with former
Minnesota Twin and newly-elected Hall-of-Famer Kirby Puckett. I had a chance to
interview Kirby in 1994. The thing in my hand is a tape recorder. Yeah, I am wearing a Colorado Rockies tee shirt, as just about everyone who sees the picture seems to notice. It was their inaugural year. Kirby didn't seem to mind at all. He is a really nice and classy guy who had his time in baseball
end way too early because of an eye disease. But he has two world
championship rings to show for an outstanding career. By the way, Kirby had 8
runs batted in the night before my interview with him, a single-game team record
that still stands.
My
friend, Bruce, snapped this one of Mark McGwire taking batting practice at the
Metrodome in 1998. Big Mac put on quite a show in BP (I think he was bunting
here, though) and in the game, too. He took Mike Trombley out of the yard for
one of the record-setting 70 home runs he hit that year.
