The Anne Arundel County Bluegrass Association

We are a group of Bluegrass music pickers, and Bluegrass lovers located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.We all get together to pick every Thursday night, during the summer months, at the Ranger Station on the B & A Trail at Earleigh Heights Rd., in Severna Park, Md. Pickin starts at 7:00 P.M. and finishes at 10:00 PM (we tend to run on a bit) These are true OPEN mike sessions.We have regular pickers ranging in age from 14 to .......well, lets just say MUCH older than that.We also have pickers of all ability levels, and the more experienced players are always very willling to help those pickers who are starting out. We are currently also picking at Sam's Bagels on Ritchie Hgwy, at the corner of 6th Ave (next to Pep-Boys) in Glen Burnie, Md. from 7:00PM until 11:00 PM every Friday - WE HAVE JUST BEEN ADVISED THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO PICK AT SAM'S ALL YEAR LONG ON FRIDAY NIGHTS - COME JOIN US Why are we here? Why this music????

In addition to the above sessions,we also get together year round for a general picking session from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on the first Sunday of each month, at the American Legion Hall which is located on Manhattan Beach Rd., also in Severna Park, Md.
