Let's keep on going! After WEEKS of careful planning, in early December 1996 Double J came out at the conclusion of WWF Superstars and announced the forming of the nWo... the New World Order! Jeff said that the stable would be for all people who had been shortchanged by the WWF, much as he had been. He then introduced the first 2 members... Razor Ramon and Marc Manson!! The Equalizers came to the ring and Razor took the microphone, telling off his fans... the Network... and his manager Sarah D. As Double J talked, 2 men made their way towards the ring. Sting and the Ultimate Warrior of the Horsemen! As Jeff described one man in the WWF who was really, REALLY stupid... Sting and the Warrior leapt into the ring and attacked the Equalizers! Double J left the ring having joined the Horsemen, and leaving his most hated rival down in the ring with all ties to his friends and fans broken. Razor's career was RUINED at this moment, make no mistake about it. A 6-man tag Baseball Bat Brawl was signed for December's In Your House, pitting Double J, Sting, and the Warrior against Razor, Marc Manson, and rookie Tommy Heart. Double J never quite meshed with the Horsemen, though, as he continued to use the nWo's music even after joining. Before the event, Sting and the Warrior were ordered to attack Jarrett and relieve him of his position in the stable. Shortly after, JJ Dillon was fired as the group's manager. Double J kept with his plan and formed the nWo, first acquiring the services of ‘Eliminator' Lucifer Graves, a former WWF Champion and the fed's bounty hunter. Jeff also brought in JJ Dillon to manage the group. Before a match on Raw pitting Double J against Tommy Heart, the nWo struck and injured the rookie so severely that he was unable to compete not only that night but at In Your House, as well. Tommy Heart, flash in the pan that he was, faded out shortly afterwards. In Your House, and the Slammy Awards along with it, came and went. Double J was up for several awards, including Most Hated Wrestler of the Year, Best Interview for his talk with Roddy Piper, and Feud of the Year with Razor Ramon. Double J walked out with the Most Hated award, a most prestigious one! The Baseball Bat Brawl saw myself WRONGLY barred from competing... it was a 6-man match, wasn't it?! Sheesh! And the Equalizers, obviously having greased the referee's pocket prior to the match, walked away with a win. The next night on Raw, Double J stepped in against the only remaining male Suntastic... the Blizzard. Even though former Suntastic the 1-2-3 Kid came to ringside and smashed Jeff with a chair, Double J EASILY disposed of his foe with a leg hold. Jeff then turned the move into the Figure Four, doing damage to the leg of the Blizzard that kept him out for a MONTH! After the bout, Double J was attacked by Vader as the hatred brewing backstage between the 2 carried over onto TV. The next week, Jarrett sought revenge against the Kid for his actions the week before. Double J found him... as did Vader! Vader and the Kid had problems of their own, and Vader beat the Kid within an inch of his life. Double J finished the Kid off, putting him on the shelf for several weeks. Though it wasn't planned, Vader and Double J made quite the team when they put their minds to it. That fact was not lost on nWo manager JJ Dillon. The nWo began to recruit... adding the services of ‘The Total Package' Lex Luger, Diamond Dallas Page, female wrestler Alley Kat, and a rookie known as the Outsider. As the 1-2-3 Kid came back to action, HE joined the nWo having realized what a powerful force it was. And then in one of the biggest shocks seen in sometime, Vader himself donned the black and white of the New World Order! Double J and Vader, once hated rivals, were now stable mates, partners, and close friends. The next week, Vader met Razor Ramon in a singles match. After Vader won, the nWo battered down Double J's most hated enemy once again. The nWo continued to lash out at several targets, and yours truly personally took it to WWF broadcaster Jimmy Steele about his anti-nWo comments. WHO is Jimmy Steele, you ask? Haha! Exactly! Double J and Razor were signed to meet in a Ladder/Cage/Key match on Raw. But before the match, Double J was jumped by the Undertaker! Or who was thought to be the Taker. The man beat Double J down, leaving him battered and bruised for his match. Razor took advantage and may have won, but Vader rushed in and attacked for the DQ. Unfortunately, this would be the final time that Razor and Double J would ever meet in the ring. As the controversy grew to exactly who WAS the 2nd Undertaker, Double J targeted the first one! Saying he'd just as soon get his hands on the original, Jarrett warned the dead man to find his imposter or face the wrath of the nWo. It came out later that The Giant had in fact been the imposter Taker. The Royal Rumble grew near... hey, you didn't forget about Double J and Shawn Michaels, did you? Though both men traded insults for weeks, the rematch between the two wasn't signed. Shawn was named the #2 contender and earned an I/C title shot against Derrick Stardom at the Rumble. Shawn, a full-fledged member of the Empire, said that when he defeated Stardom for the title he'd defend it against Double J in their rematch. Fearing that this meant certain defeat for Stardom, Sabrina Savage had the match put into an enclosed cage and had the stipulation entered that if any nWo member attacked Stardom beforehand, Double J would not get his promised shot. The Royal Rumble came, and the I/C title match was first up. Double J made his way down to ringside... but was attacked by Steve Austin, an Empire member! The Undertaker, who had been under the ring for some reason, came out and also attacked Double J, giving him the Tombstone FOUR times on the arena floor! Vader, who had a WWF title match later that night, rushed out to help but he too was pounded down by the Taker and the Empire. Also during the match, Eric Bischoff, who had recently surfaced in the WWF, made his way to ringside to continue his scouting of Shawn Michaels. Not long after the match, and his loss, Michaels left the WWF breaking any ties he had with Bischoff. Double J suffered severe neck injuries from the attack, and was out of action for over a month. As was Vader for the injuries he had suffered not only then, but at the hands of Randy Savage during his title bout. During his time off, something happened that would change Double J, the WWF, and pretty much professional wrestling in general forever! Needing a known ‘bad guy' for a small part on the hit series Baywatch, producers called up Double J. He agreed and filmed an episode... which then became 2... which then became several! Jeff's acting ability impressed the producers, who decided to extend his part... it also impressed all of Hollywood! Looks like I filled another page! Still want to keep goin'? Click here for more!
