Bret leaps, looking for an elbow.... AND GETTING ONLY JARRETT'S UPRAISED BOOT!!! Hart hits hard... and stands up and back in pain! Jarrett gets his second wind... and runs at Hart... DROPKICK!!! BRET GOES DOWN!
Double J goes down and starts working on the leg with a spinning toe hold.
JR: He's getting ready for the Figure Four! If he gets it on... can the Hitman ESCAPE?
Double J cranks on the leg... then stands up... and goes to a STEP-OVER toe hold!!! He starts wrapping it on... and the Hitman pushes him free.... and rolls to the outside to catch his breath. Double J motions to the ref to get him back in... and the ref starts a ten count.
Bret walks around the outside, looking up at Owen and the Bulldog.... then up at the ring. Hart climbs back in before the ten count... and Double J is ON HIM! As Bret comes in... Double J dropkicks him... then brings a punch down on the knee!!
Double J stands... and ELBOWDROPS the knee!!! He stands again, his fans urging him on! Bret does a DOUBLE LEG TAKE DOWN!!! HE COVERS... 1.... 2... KICKOUT!
JR: OUT OF NOWHERE! A NEAR FALL!
Double J recovers first, popping up and going back to work on Bret's leg with hamstring pulls. Jarrett grabs the leg... perhaps ready for the Figure Four.... but Bret pushes him off! Jarrett is knocked into the ropes and bounces back....
INTO THE SLEEPER!!! Double J flails around... looking for a means to escape! He uses his momentum to start towards the ropes... and Bret releases it... grabs him around the waist... BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!! Jarrett hits hard... and rolls back up to his feet....
Bret spins him around... Jarrett drops down... DROP TOE HOLD!!! He hooks the leg and turns it around against the knee.
JR: Don't underestimate the skills of Jarrett! He's an accomplished technician in his own right!
Double J works on the leg.... pulling at it... kicking at it.... them wrenching it against the grain in a step-over toe hold!!! Jarrett then signals....
Jeff: HERE WE GO!!!
Double J... SPINS ON THE FIGURE FOUR!!! The fans start rising up... waiting for the result!!!
JR: Bret's leg has GOT to be ripe for the pickins! Jarrett worked on it so well!!! WILL THE HITMAN SURRENDER? OR WILL HE GET PINNED FROM THE PAIN?!
Bret is caught in the center of the ring! The ref is down in position! The Hitman starts to slow down... and his back comes down to the canvas... HIS SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!!! The ref counts... 1.... 2.... BRET RISES UP!! The referee signals a TWO COUNT! Jarrett maintains the pressure.... but then he starts shaking his head......NO!
Bret starts to turn it over..... AND SUCCEEDS!!! He kicks Jarrett off of him... then gets up! He punches at Jarrett... then yanks him up into a SLEEPER HOLD!!!
JR: Now we'll see how Jarrett handles THIS!!!
The ref gets back into position again... Jarrett is starting to go limp. Bret has HIM in the center of the ring. He releases the sleeper.... hooks his head and leg.... SIDE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP!!! Bret stands up, holding one of Jarrett's legs.... and GOES FOR THE SHARPSHOOTER!!! He gets a leg in.....
Jarrett gets a hand up, blocking it! Bret tries again, quicker... Jarrett blocks! Double J kicks with his free leg... and pushes Bret back! Jarrett begins to get up... and Bret drives a KICK to the top of Jarrett's head.... then does an inside cradle... 1.... 2.... 3....!!!!
JR: HE GOT HIM!!! IT'S OVER!!!

Pink and White fireworks explode over the arena as Bret's music plays! Jarrett stands up and extends his hand.... AND THEY SHAKE!!! THE FANS GO CRAZY!!! Bret holds his hands up to them and climbs out of the ring with the Anvil.
Jarrett turns away, looking dejected. Elizabeth and the Roadie come in to help him out. The three leave. Owen and the Bulldog turn and leave, pointing toward the Hart Foundation.
Bret and Neidhart celebrate with the fans, giving high-fives with Brutus and the Warrior. The fireworks continue to explode... and the music continues to play.
