"Papa's Pictures"

I'm not very pretty and don't do many pictures unless someone

"Very  Ornamental" and/or "Very  Important"

wants to share the frame with me.

In this case "BOTH" criteria apply.

We live in the small South Texas town of Freer, 65 miles or so from the Mexican border at Laredo. Not much happens here, except during hunting season when the nationally famous "Muy Grande" contest takes place. For those of you who don't hunt deer, this is a search for the biggest and best "Whitetail" deer in this part of Texas. In the spring we have the annual "Rattlesnake Roundup", the official rattlesnake roundup of Texas, which has several.I don't care to participate in this particular event but a majority of the local folks do, it's a very popular sport here. My personal feeling about "rattlesnakes" is, "If you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone!" They don't make good housepets at all.

We have eight children (all grown) and 15 grandchildren and, like most Fathers and Grandfathers I could talk and give advice forever. I like to refrain from that tendancy however, so I'll give you only the two most important things I have learned in life. First - "Know Yourself" - because until you do you can't really know anyone else. Second - "Accept Yourself" - because until you do you cannot really be successful at anything.

                                                                                        George Raymond Rusling, Sr.

"Papa and Logan"

This is "Logan", a VIP!  I had just finished assembling the new swingset for our Grandchildren. He was present and got the first ride. Logan was about a year old at the time.

"Michelle  And  DeeDee"

These two are our "Babies". They are 13 and 15 at the time. All dressed up and "glamorous".

"Raymond Logan Rusling"

Here's "Logan" again, a few months later. He's finally starting to grow some hair (I thought he was going to be bald from infancy).I really like this picture.

These two young ladies are our "newest" grandchildren. On the left is "Kayla Rene" & "Bethany Brianne" occupies the right frame. Kayla is the youngest by about 3 1/2 months. They belong to our two "Baby" girls.
