After the tragic events of September 11, it was clear that this would not be a typical Winfield. Some performers found it completely impossible to attend. Others made Herculean efforts to attend. John McCutcheon found himself in Charlotte, North Carolina. Unable to fly to Winfield, he rented a van and drove 24 hours and then got right on Stage Two.

As that set closed, John sang “This Land Is Your Land”. As the song began, the audience rose to its feet, joining the singing and then joining hands.

For those of you there, I'm sure you'll want a memory of that moment.

Those of you who were unable to attend can see in this photo how the week's events affected Winfield.
