Walnut Valley Festival Trip Reports

1999 was my ninth visit in 10 years to Winfield for the Walnut Valley Festival. I was introduced to the festival by Sybil and Cindy Bear, and it became a permanent part of my vacation schedule. I can count 'em by how I got there:

1990

Sybil and I drove up in my new/used car. This was before I owned a camera.

1991

Sybil and I drove up in her new Probe

1992

we rented an RV (turned out to be more trouble than a shower was worth)

1994

I rode up and back with Cindy

1995

I rode up with Cindy and flew home (to the hospital) from Wichita.

1996

I "hitchhiked" up via Winfield-L (thanks again, Anne)
and rode home with Cindy.

1997

I rode up and back with Bear again.

1998

Hitched a ride to Jackson, MS, flew to Plano, and rode up and back with Bear.

1999

Drove to Allen and rode up and back with CindyBear again
