Winfield is Wonderful!!

Hi. I'm Kate Price from Kamp Konza (in the pecan grove) and I am 12 years old. This will be my 12th Winfield, and I just wanted to write a note about how wonderful Winfield is to my family. Winfield is a great escape from all of today's hustle and bustle. It seems to me that everybody needs something like Winfield as a kind of release of today's tention. When we play our instruments, each note is releasing tention, and making us all the more relaxed. The thing about Winfield is, everyone there is everyone else's friend. There is an out-of-this-world feeling going on. Almost spirtitual in a way. And, even though we aren't allowed to say the W-word until the first of September, we think about it all of the time. At Winfield, there is no pressure on time, commitment, or anything else that puts stress on our lives. We have only one clock in the whole motorhome to remind us of the time when we need it. I remember walking around once, and looking at all of the Jams. Even though this was something that seemed normal and not exactly mgical, it will be one of my fondest memories of my young childhood, and I'll remember this for the rest of my life. Winfield is magical to me, as with the rest of my family. It is truly Heaven, and this is what keeps us coming back year after year.

Im Melissa, (18 yrs old). Winfield is also wonderful and means lot to my family like--FUN!! I cant wait for this it to come this year and it basically has started--there is already about 30 campers lined up for the land rush! I cant belive it! Where are you from? Do you play any instruments?

I'll make you a deal. I will smile at and say howdy to everyone who passes through my camp if you will do the same at your camp. That way we know we are keeping some of the magic alive, and I bet the spirit will spread to everyone! :o)

I too, am looking forward to Winfield. We are leaving about a week early so that we can relax and get in to the spirit of things. My 3 week old granddaughter is coming with us this year so that will be fun to have a baby in the camp.

We camp in the pecan grove also. This year we have a new pop-up instead of a tent so we are excited about that.
