Gone but you will never be forgotten.
So very many people got to know "Motor Medic" or "Bocephus"
on the net and not one of them could not call him a "dear friend ."
I got out of touch with him when he moved to the country and gave
me a temporary email address and the next contact was from
his son telling me he lost his battle with cancer.
I'm so very sorry I wasn't around for my friend when God called him but everyone please
bare with me while I remember a man that I will truly miss.
I met "Bocephus" in Geocities chat room. I was a so
called community leader in geocities
and monitored the chat rooms keeping
everyone "clean" and making sure no trouble started . He was always the most friendly person to everyone that I had ever come across in a chat room. Seemed like no matter who I came in as, to try and catch offenders, Bocephus always knew who I was and would private chat me, telling me problem people and warning me of a trouble maker so I knew he was talking in private to lots of people. He greeted everyone that entered in the room whether he knew them or not . He would chat with me while I worked and tell me all about his business and his lovely wife, Karen, working in the office with him and his son Mike, who worked with him for a while but seems like I remember him leaving for a good job he had gotten and naturally the two people he talked about more than anyone , his grandson Aggravation aka Josh and his grand daughter Becca. I bet I have 4 disc's full of pictures he sent me of the two of them. He was such a dear family man. He even sent me pictures taken on a family reunion they went to taking I believe his Mother. Such a proud family man. The whole time we talked I was busy surprising him working on this site for him. So you see we talked about a lot of things. Fishing ( oh he loved to fish and me living with the Lake almost at my back door) he couldn't believe I didn't fish any more than I did and then his favorite Lake Lanier, Atlanta Falcons , Country Music and his business, his garage. Since I never would take anything for the site he got tickets for me to the races they were just starting in Dallas,( probably given to him by one of his customers) and knowing I wouldn't go arranged for someone that wanted to buy the tickets from me ( or at least this is what he told me. (LOL) Well since he did that and I only wanted to do it for a friend I surprised him with another site for his business. http://geocities.datacellar.net/MotorCity/Garage/5122/
This site he was so happy to get he listed it in a local Atlanta ad book or something like that. And had me load it on their site too. For this site he sent me a beautiful Rose Gold necklace with Rose Charm on it for Christmas from Karen and him. There was also a site for his lovely Karen called Karen's Korner I did for her but unfortunately when Geocities merged with Yahoo that site did not survive. It was mainly based on family and was loaded with his Family pictures he had sent.
Dave was one in a million and he will be missed very much but I am so proud to have gotten the chance to know him and his family even if only on the Net. Walk with Angels Dave and hopefully we will meet someday.
