Jethro Burns with his Epiphone MM-70
The Epiphone model MM-70 mandolins were made from mid 1979 - 1985.
This was the top of the line Epiphone mandolin constructed with solid carved top and back. The MM-70 has the scroll body shape, abalone flowerpot peghead inlay, fancy abalone fingerboard inlay like that of a 1970's Gibson F-5, carved spruce top with F holes, maple neck, back, and sides, white binding on all neck and body edges, and a sunburst finish.
