Statement of Belief

 The Nature of God

We believe in one eternal, infinite God, sovereign of the universe; that He only is God.

We believed that He exists and is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

(Deut. 6:4-5; John 14:6-27; Heb.1:1-3)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was and is eternally one with the Father,

that He became flesh by the Holy Spirit, and was born to the virgin Mary.

(Mat. 1:18-25; Mat. 16:15-17; John 1:1-3,14)

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is ever present and active in and with

the church of Jesus Christ, convicting the world of sin

and making new those who repent and believe.

We believe that He is the teacher of all truth as it is in Jesus.

(John 7:39; John 16:5-11; Acts 2:1-4)

Blood Atonement

We believe that Jesus Christ, by the shedding of His  blood on the cross of Calvary,

made a full atonement for all human sin, and that the atonement

is effective only for those who by faith repent and believe.

(Isa. 53:5-6; John 1:29; Rom. 3:23-26; Heb. 9:14-15)

The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the Divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, by which we understand

the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, given without error, and which reveal

the will of God concerning us in all things necessary for our salvation and daily life.

(Luke 24:44-45; II Tim. 3:15-17; II Pet. 1:20-21)

The Second Coming

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return and that we who are alive

at His coming and are abiding in Him shall join those who preceded us,

and so we shall ever be with the Lord.

(John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; I Thes. 4:13-18)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the community of all people submitted to

the lordship of Jesus Christ, the covenant people of God made new in Christ,

the Body of Christ called together by the Holy Spirit through the Word.

We believe that the mission of the Church in the world is to continue

the redemptive work of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit

through righteous living, evangelism, and service.

(Jer. 31:31-33; Eph. 1:22-23; Mat. 16:16-18; I Cor. 1:2)

The Local Church

We believe that the local assembly of believers, committed to God and one another in love,

is the proper expression of the church to carry out the work of the ministry.

(Heb. 10:24-25; Acts 2:42-47; Rom. 12:4-10; 1 Tim. 3:14-15)

Church Government

We believe that God has given leaders to the local church who will be recognized and

govern the affairs thereof, being led by the Spirit in all areas of decision making

for the good of the church and the furtherance of the Gospel.

(Eph. 4:11-13; Acts 15:1-6; I Cor. 12:28; Heb. 13:17)
