A Walk
Down Memory Lane

Here are some pics of my family...all that I want are not here as of yet, so come back and see often for new ones...

This is where it all started....this is a picture of my Oma and Opa deHaan ( Harmen & Jesica ), my Dad's Parents. Originally from Holland, they moved here in 1958 to the Annapollis Valley in Nova Scotia. My Opa was a body and fender man. Ironically he knew my Mother's Father, who passed away before my parents were married.

My Dad and Mom met when she was working in a department store. Believe it or not he actually picked her up and moved her out of his way....Whoever said there was no such thing as "Love at first sight"??? They were married in June of 1960. Shortly after they moved to Truro, where my Father worked for the Dominion Stores. Throughout their lives together they made many moves, and my Dad made many career changes, until finally they moved to Nanaimo, BC. My Mom still lives there with my sister Lizzie.

This is a picture of me as a little girl....aren't I cute????

Yeah okay, it is my page....smiles. I was approximatley 4 - 5 years old in this picture.

This is a picture of me in grade 12. This picture was taken in 1988.....I spent most of my High School years in Kindersley Sask. Although I took some time out to go to Expo 86 ( because it was there ) I eventually went back and graduated, much to my parents relief in 1988.

Oh...by the way, I have a sister. Her name is Elizabeth...a.k.a. Zippy, Nermal, or Sissy if you are talking to my girls. I do not have a pic of her to put here, but this is a fairly good likeness, if I do say so myself.....and trust me folks, she is just as coordinated too!!!!

Liz works for Zellers in Nanaimo, and also works part time for a Karaoke company. Lizzie was born in October of 1971. She is the baby of the family, although if the truth be known she is 5 inches taller than me...so much for being able to stuff her in a closet....smiles

Personally I hate these two pictures of me, but my Mom-In-Law forced me to put them in here....

Promise you will not look at my HAIR!!!! They were taken the day of my graduation in June of 88.

My Mom and ME!!!

My Dad and ME!!!

This is a picture that I will treasure all of my life. It is a picture of my Dad, Krysta (my daughter), and myself. Of all of the picture of us, I hold this one near and dear to my heart...it was taken the last Christmas that we had together. It shows us as we were, a very close knit family.

That is all that I have so far of my family. For those who like pictures, follow the link below to see the inlaws...
