~Eddies Guitar~

From July 2000

Eddies Guitar

Worn out strings on a vintage guitar
Beckoning me from the corner of the attic
In my brothers memories from the Vietnam war
If I dug it out Mom would, give me static

Still it felt good in my hands
Somehow I knew Eddie understands

It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar

I got new strings down at the music store
And a few other things, I figured I'd be needin'
Pic's, a strap, book with some chords
Three days later my fingers were bleedin'

Still it felt good in my hands
Somehow I knew Eddie understands

It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar
It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar
(Music Interlude)
It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar

(bridge)
Well the years went by and I made my mark
Right place, right time, a lucky shot in the dark
Grabbed my fifteen minutes of fame
For a moment I heard the crowd screamin' my name
I had to be a star, playin' Eddies Guitar

It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar
It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar

I've settled down with my wife and my sons
Eddies Guitars' tucked away, in the corner of the attic...

Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar
It was Eddies, Eddies, Eddies Guitar
