~Selling Kool-Aid~

Selling Kool-Aid

They sit there on the corner selling Kool-Aid
On a long, hot summer day
Five cents a glass, they say it's home made
They're eyes are smiling as you pass by their way
They you here one say, hey mister where ya going?
Ya sure like mighty thirsty to me
Take a look we made a brand new pitcher
Stick around we'll give you a taste for free

Don't you remember way back then
You were nine and I was ten
We'd sit there in the cool, old oak tree shade
Selling Kool-Aid

Now your tracking down a living
Seems those days are gone for good
Then you take a look out your front room window
Like a trip to the past, takes you to your childhood
Over on the corner
In that old oak tree shade
Sets your little girl, giving it a whirl
Selling Kool-Aid

Don't you remember way back then
You were nine and I was ten
We'd sit there in the cool, old oak tree shade
Selling Kool-Aid
Selling Kool-Aid
Five cents a glass
