~Break Down The Walls~

From August 1999

Break Down The Walls

He comes home late from an endless day
Though is thoughts are racin', he's got nothing to say
He knows, she'd take time to listen, still he walks away
From the opportunity
He's her little piece of heaven, in a world of hell
She knows, if his walls could talk, oh the stories they'd tell
It appears, in her self-made man, all that's left is a shell
Of the way things used to be

Still she's holdin' on, with all of her might
Cuz the love's not gone, it just out of sight
And she's gonna find it, somewhere deep in the night
Make it all come shinin' through...

Break Down The Walls, crash the barricades
Set free the guards, she's gonna run that maze
Before the crimson dawn and nights' curtain falls
She's gonna touch his heart
Break Down The Walls

His morning coffee's strong and black
Come 9 a.m. the monkey's on his back
She hopes last night's lovin', gets em on the right track
But there's no guarantee
Cuz, before you know it, you're caught up in the game
Of chasin' the ghosts, of fortune and fame
So many get lost, it's a cryin' shame
If they could only see

You've gotta keep holdin' on, with all of your might
Cuz the love's not gone, it's just out of sight
Baby we're gonna find it, somewhere deep in the night
Make it all come shinin' through...

Break Down The Walls, crash the barricades
Set free the guards, we're gonna run that maze
Before the crimson dawn and nights' curtain falls
We're gonna touch the heart
Break Down The Walls

To touch the heart
Break Down The Walls
