It was recently discovered that the banjo came to us straight from hell. It had been there a long time, placed there by a fiddle player, no doubt. But it was finally returned to it's rightfull place when it was dicovered that it made such a joyous noise,

You Goddesses r doin' sew good you just bout
ready for a fiddlin lesson from Granny Gnarlin.
She was the one who showed the Falderal boys a
thing or two. But we won't talk bout that. She
played good. Reel good. She could shuffle better
than a riverboat gamblerman. Used honeycomb instead of rosin and made home-made catgut.
She could even get close to a horse. Yes she was
cut from the same cloth as you gals are. She
always wore her corset on the outside of dress
cause she said it rubbed her the wrong way.
She taught us all she could pass on 'til she
pass on. Now we are the only ones know those oldtime secret tunnin's and bow strokes. But
we aint shelfish we'll pass 'em on for a small
consideration. Just send $50 in small bills
to Falderal %RFD, Poorfolks Town, Oklahoma.
We'll send a delux book on playin' just like Granny did. Ya'll are sure doin' fine.

I never heard such folderall from a bunch o' slab-sided, slack-jawed, pink-eyed snoozers. The sacred book of Earl indeed! Real men play fretless, gut strung gourd banjars like Tom Jefferson described in his "Notes on the State of Virginia" written in 17
4. And who's this Fiddle Goddess anyhoo? Pshaw, ain't nobody fiddles better than Stefan Grapelli, may he rest in peace. Fiddle Goddess, take off your hat to Mr. Grapelli, will ya?

BLASPHEMY!!! HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH THINGS OF THE
BANJO. FOR WITHOUT THE BANJO THERE WOULD BE NO
DIXIE DARLIN'S. INSTEAD, THERE WOULD BE THE DIXIE
DARLIN' AND THE FIDDLE PLAYER. YOU CALL YOURSELVES
GODDESSES, I ASK OF WHAT, THE DARK SIDE. REPENT
BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. ARE YOU AWARE THAT IF HEAT IS APPLIED TO A FIDDLE, THE GLUE SOFTENS AND THE FIDDLE COMES APART? IT'S NOT TO LATE TO COME TO YOUR SENSES. OH BY THE WAY, I'D LIKE TO ORDER A 97TH REG(SALUTE) POTATO HEAD DOLL IN THE UNION ARMY EDITION

Banjo Blasphemy! Even coated in sugar and honey, is still blasphemy. For it is written in THE SACRED BOOK OF EARL "Those who saw the four with the hair of the uncloven hoof and shun THE SACRED PATH OF THE FOUR AND A HALF, shall bear the mark of the beast
and their names shall be unwritten in the heart of Earl." May Earl have mercy on you false goddesses for your blasphemy!
