There was a certain man who loved the Lord. He perceived that this present life was filled with many troubles, heartaches, sufferings, trials, death. He was a faithful member of the Church but felt so helpless amid so much tribulation in this present world. He begged the good Lord to show him if there was anything he could do.

The Lord showed him a vision. There were people seated around a huge table which was heaped with all manner of good things to eat and drink. They could see the food. They could smell the food. They could even reach out and touch the food. However, it was as if their arms were locked at the elbows - they could not bend their arms to bring the food to their mouths.

The vision faded .......

The man said "Lord I do not understand. These people were not able to feed themselves. Please, Lord, explain to me how this can be a vision of what I can do, knowing that I can do nothing without You."

The Lord said "The people I have shown you are greatly blessed. Their senses have been opened. They can see the goodness that I have set before them. They can smell and touch and are well aware of the goodness that I have set before them. You are correct in observing that they are unable to feed themselves. Therefore - they will experience the greatest blessing of all."

"They will learn the answer to your question - what can you do."

"They will learn to feed one another."
