Biography
Songwriting
Rhonda began writing music at an early age,
having her first song published at the age
of 14. She enjoys writing in many styles including alternative, country, gospel, pop, soft rock, rock, rockabilly, americana, easy listening and more.
Her music is loved around the
world and aired on radio stations in Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain,
Switzerland, Indonesia, Sweden, The United Kingdom and in the United States.
Performances
Rhonda's performing experience has spanned more than 20 years and includes opening up for "Restless Heart" (When She Cries) while as the lead singer and keyboardist
for the Pittsburgh based country band,
"Sidewinder",
at the Three Rivers Stadium's Ribfest
Celebration
in Pittsburgh,
Pa. to a crowd of over 7,000.
1980- "Selah"
A 3 piece acoustical Christian band.
Rhonda was guitarist, lead/harmony vocalist.
1981- "Gospel Sounds"
A 5 piece Southern Gospel Band playing primarily churches and festivals.
Rhonda was a lead/harmony vocalist.
1982- "Sideshow"
A 4 piece oldies/top 40 band that played weddings, banquets and bars.
Rhonda was the lead/harmony vocalist.
1984- "Night Shift"
Classical rock/top 40 band playing bars and nightclubs.
Rhonda was the lead/harmony vocalist.
1985-1990 Solo efforts
Rhonda released her first single "Two Hearts" (side one) and "Precious Child" (side 2). She received a lot of tri-state airplay, appeared on local radio programs and local performances.
1992- "Sidewinder"
She has been the guest on many radio shows and Internet stations.
Her songs have been featured on MP3.com more than 12 times during 1997-2000, including an album feature.
Rhonda had 3 top selling CDs on mp3.com during that time and ranked as one of the top Independent Internet sales Artists in 1999.
"Cracks and Shadows", released on April 17, 2000, sold over 150 copies in the first 3 weeks of release.
The project was produced by Mickey Dean of LLIST RECORDS, whose roster included such greats as: Tommy Conwell (previously with RCA), Nick Kane (of the Mavericks), and Robert Gordon (previously with Columbia Records).
In 2000 Rhonda was a guest vocalist for Mickey Dean's
"Nash Vegas" Album.
