The Promise



Loosing love is hard on the heart,
It feels as if your entire world just fell apart.
You see the person as you go through your day.
Don't worry, with time, the pain goes away.

For many days, weeks, and months,
The memories stay fresh in your mind.
You try to get over it, you try to forget,
The memories are imbedded, you have to accept.

Someday, we'll both meet someone new.
The pain will have faded,
