Our future endeavours are myriad... We believe in maximum utilisation of available resources. We have already communicated with officials in Bombino Music (they told us to contact them in January), & with other music companies like Magnasound, Times Music etc. But right now, we are sitting tight, waiting for the results of the MTV Video Ga-Ga Contest, which will be made public sometime in December. We had sent a tape having the song "Saawan se bhi Sundar", to them. We are waiting anxiously to know the results.
As we hope, we should be able to come to the finals, hence our stage performance will be widely telecast on T.V & we would be able to get the exposure which we so badly need. If we get selected, then a lot of problems will be solved by itself. Two weeks in the Paul McCartney Institute, London, will ensure that we get the professional treatment that's required...Then a music video...A recording contract with Sony Music...Wow !....
If this does not turn out, well, no probs - we have a back up plan, with all our demo tapes we will continue approaching other Music companies... If even that doesn't turn out, we'll have to learn from our Western counterparts, we will finance our record company ourselves & then....We'll show the world...
Our essential moving force always has been our confidence. We believe that simply making good music is not enough. What's actually needed is a clear & practical way of marketing our music. Simply by creating good music & singing it inside our homes, does not create any point. Imagine !, half of the "pop" music being produced in India are 1 song wonders !. There are very few exceptions like Lucky Ali or "Piya Basanti Re..", which are really good. There should be some common forum, where artists can come together & do some good. Otherwise, we'll continue in this decadent state...
