BlackHawk has stayed at the top of the country charts for four years running. They have sold over three million albums and had twelve country hits. Their debut album, "BlackHawk" went platinum and gave us five top ten hits; "Every Once In A While", "I Sure Can Smell the Rain", "Goodbye Says It All,"Down In Flames" and "That's Just About Right." Their second album was "Strong Enough" in 1995 and it also gave us five great hits. Their third album was "Love and Gravity" in 1997 and in 1998 they recorded "The Sky's the Limit." They have toured with country greats such as Suzy Bogguss, Tim McGraw and Wynonna.

Henry Paul~Lead vocals, Mandolin and guitar
He was born in Florida near Tampa. He became hooked on music in the 60's listening to Gram Parsons, Johnny Cash, Flatt, Scrugg's and the Burrito Brother's. He recorded 4 albums with his 70's band called the Outlaws. He was with the Outlaws from '71~'77 in which time they mangaged to record two gold records and produced the hits "There Goes Another Love Song" and "Ghost Riders In the Sky." He left the Outlaws to form his own group The Henry Paul Band and released 4 solo albums.  In 1987 he once again joined the Outlaws to record one more album. He is a songwriter who has writen songs for John Anderson and the Bellamy Brothers. He also wrote and performed the jingle for a recent Busch Beer commercial.

Dave Robbins~Harmony, keyboards
Dave is a classically trained pianist. He took lessons from age 6 thru college. He's originally from Forest Park, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  He studied music at Belmont Univeristy in Nashville. He was signed on as a staff writer to House of Gold publisher shortly after meeting Van Stephenson in 1979. It was there that he co~wrote "All My Life" by Kenny Rogers and "Everybody's Dream Girl" by Dan Seals.

Van Stephenson~Harmony, Guitar
He is originally from Hamilton, Ohio. He moved to Nashville in 1963 with his family. His influences in music were The Eagels, The Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin.  He enjoyed various kinds of music growing up but his first experience with a band was his brother's bluegrass band. He began writing songs at the age of 13 and signed his first publishing deal with House of Gold Music. His first successful song written was record in 1979 by Crystal Gayle, "Your Kisses Kill Me."  In the 80's he had a solo career and signed with MCA records. He released two pop singles, "Modern Day Delihah"  and "What the Big Girls Do."
