Rhett Akins was born Thomasa Rhett Akins on October 13, 1969 in Valdosta, Georgia. He has a style all his own and he likes it that way. His one of a kind style reflects his own independent nature. Rhett still applies his hometown values to everything he does. He has a down to earth attitude and finds great satisfaction by doing his best. He puts this attitude into everything he does, whether he's a home, on stage or working on his current album. He stays focused on his dream by keeping his priorities straight. He keeps his life in line by remembering that what he does not only effects him, but his family and band members as well, and his career. Even though it's Rhett Akins fans come to see, he feels that the band and his family make him who he is and they are just as important as he is. Without them, there is no Rhett Akins. He says that he came from a very humble family. They all had to work their way up in life. He came from a Christian family where nobody was better than the next person. He's using those life lessons as a guideline for his career and family life now. |
