This page is a biography for Trace Adkins...

Trace Adkins was born Trace Darrell Adkins on January 13, 1962 in Sarepta, Louisiana. He has always been interested in country music. In fact, he first performed at only 11 years old at a local store for a talent contest. He won. (of course) Later he went on to sing in a gospel quartet in high school. If fate would have made another turn, Trace would have been a petroleum engineer. At least that's what he studied at Louisiana Tech. While in college, he played football. In 1994 he signed a record deal with Capitol Records and that led to his first major hit, "Every Light In the House" in 1996. His second hit was "No Thinkin' Thing" which made it all the way to #1. In 1997 "I Left Something Turned On At Home" went to #2. "The Rest Of Mine" made it to #4 a few weeks later. He met his wife Rhonda Forlaw on a tour. They married in 1997 and now have a daughter named McKenzie. Trace also has two daughters from a previous marriage. Trace is an avid gardener, a hunter, a Civil War buff and the biggest fan of Spam. That's right! Spam. Every year he attends the SpamFest in Austin, Minnesota. He also loves to cook. His favorite recipes? Ones containing Spam of course!
