Steve is the drummer in the band. He's been playing since he was old enough to hold a pair of sticks. Matt and Shannon like to refer to Steve as one of the "Old Men" in the band.

 Steve says that his greatest contribution to original Canyon tunes is in their arrangement . But when it comes to writing he has contributed a line or two, like their latest song Friday Knights! The guys all agree that it sometimes takes all of us contributing a line or two to come up with  the music we create.  Steve's always thinking of new ideas for the band to write about, He also brings the driving sound that makes Canyon a unique country band
