"Trademark Hilltown harmonies over a bed of bluegrass and gospel with some folk and country thrown in for good measure." Greg Haymes   Albany Times Union
Bringing you their own "Northern brand" of acoustic bluegrass music from high in the beautiful Helderberg Mountains in Upstate New York, it's the Hilltown Ramblers.  The fine vocal harmonies of Chuck Batcher on the stand-up bass, Moe Safford on the 5-string banjo, and Dick Stock on the mandolin are once again drivin' along by the guitar of  Morrie Safford!
While adept at covering the classics of traditional and contemporary folk and bluegrass music, the
Hilltown Ramblers are especially proud of the reception their original music has received.  Songs like "I Met Her in the Mountains", "Everytime the Train Went By" , and "Rainbow in the River" stand up well among the classics.  Add some "up home" humor and an occasional magic trick,  the Hilltown Ramblers are great family entertainment.  Get our  CD "It's About Time".  Check the schedule for upcoming dates. The Ramblers made their theatrical debut performing "I Gotta Go", a tune by Penny Shaw from her musical "Beulah by the Sea".
