Silent Witness
Richard North Patterson is one of the top legal authors. His books are spellbinders. They definately hook you in from start to finish. Silent Witness is a wonderful book filled with suspense and intrigue. It kept me hooked till the last page. I have read all of Richard North Patterson's novels. This in my view was one of his finest. The plot was complex and left me with a great feeling inside. This one I will no doubtedly read again.
The Street Lawyer
John Grisham is my second favorite author. His books sometimes leave something out. This is one of my favorites of his work. I have read all but three of his, the ones that I saw the movies first, I did not read. This book tries to deal with the evolution of Lawyers into humans. It explores ethics and morality involved with being a lawyer. This book is true fiction for even trying to explore that area. I enjoyed it very much. I read it in two sittings. It is tied with The Rainmaker for top billing as my favorite Grisham novel.
The List
Steve Martini started out right here in Sacramento. His books have had local appeal and flavor for the area, which makes for an excellent read. This book relates to life past being a lawyer. Making something else out of talents that most of us possess. I loved this book, and I have also read all of Steve Martini's books.
These are merely the most recent books that I have read and enjoyed. My favorite authors and their works. I picked up The Street Lawyer on Friday 20 February 1998 and was finished and writing about it on 22 February 1998.
