With Desmond Tutu 1990
Paul Svenson is a songleader, singer, composer, arranger, record producer, studio musician, trainer and motivational leader. He plays several instruments including guitar, piano, Hammond organ (sort of), banjo, Hawaiian Steel, mandolin, & bass. He has played on over 40 albums, written and arranged hundreds of songs, and spent most of his life working in the church. He is currently the director of contemporary music at the University Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) in San Diego, CA. Paul is a gifted teacher and communicator. He has developed two unique workshops created to embrace and involve those in the church who love music, but lack raw talent or confidence to actually participate. Choirs for Non-Singer and The 10 Commandments of Songleading are both designed to empower practically anybody with the necessary attitude and skills to make a musical contribution! Paul is married with two children, and lives in San Diego. For fun he enjoys being his kid's dad. He also collects instruments with a newfound appreciation for Hammond Tonewheel Organs (including the recent acquisition of a very nice specimen), writes music and follows UCLA sports and the San Diego Padres. His newest hobby is working on this website! Look at the scrapbook for some fun pix. Paul is talented, flexible, energetic, creative and resourceful. He is a wonderful addition to your conference, convention, rally, camp, or special program. Look around this website for more details about how Paul can enhance your event.
