The British Country Music Awards were created in 1994 as the result of several country music magazines and associations joining forces in order to give the music more visibility in the British marketplace.
Due to sponsorship difficulties it was not possible to hold the awards this year. Hopefully they will be back for 2002 - watch this space for information.
