Hi, I'm Manja. Here I'd like to tell you a little about myself and my family.
I'm happily married since 13 September 1996 to my husband Jimmie.
It just happened to be a Friday the 13th. I guess it brought us luck.
Our home is in Charlotte, NC, where we moved to in February of 2000, after spending over 5 years in the Army. I'm currently employed with TICS Corporation as a communications installer. Jimmie currently works part-time at a Petsupermarket.
I'm originally from Germany, East Germany, to be exact. My family and I came to the US after the German unification in 1990. My younger sister Sandy, who is in the military herself, plays the flute in the National Guard Army Band in California. I'm so proud of her. She also gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Amanda on September 26th, 1999 Check out the baby pictures!!.
Jimmie grew up in Laurinburg, NC. He is a NASCAR fan and driver Rusty Wallace "No.2" is his all time favorite. He is a well rounded person and enjoys anything from gourmet coffee, to science. He is definitely the love of my life.
Both of us met while stationed at Camp Red Cloud, Uijongbu, South Korea. This one year tour was an experience of a life time, filled with fun, challenges, and hardships. We fell in love with the Korean culture and especially the food. Anybody who has ever been stationed there, will agree with me, when I say, that every job you have to accomplish there is three times more difficult than it would be here. Lack of materials, support and a tremendous time difference, make every project a challenge. As many of us have experienced, it can get very lonely there, too, especially around the holidays. Nevertheless, the year ended, and I must say, that this will be a time we'll always reflect back on, because it has enriched us in a lot of ways.
Well, now that you know a little about us, let me introduce you to the rest of the family: OUR PETS
We have six cats, Loki, Nala, Little Man, Rusty, and our siblings Harry and Lloyd. We also have two Golden Retriever girls, Daisy and Lady, and a 135 gallon aquarium with a tiger oscar. I guess that explains why we do not have any children....
