In a second hand town
In a second hand store
Hangs a white wedding gown
Such innocent beauty
Held such an innocent girl
But somehow she'll make it
In her second hand world


Everyone was against her
From the start of day one
Seemed 'cept for the
Big cities rich mans first born son
She didn't marry for money
Like so many spoke of
'Cause for her it was clear that
His love was enough
But soon she seen doubt creeping into his eyes
The town even had him believing their lies
So she packed her bags
With a few simple things that she loved
With so much against her
The young girl gave up

Lonely days bled through to weeks
Long hard months rolled on by
She had taken up shop in a small town
Nearby she tried
She lived in back of the store front
Two small rooms and a bath
And each night thankfully prayed to God
For all that she had
But finally he found her
Oh where had he been
Distrust still in his eyes
Hope had to end
As the front door closed behind him
How love pierced her insides
As calls from a back room
Their small baby boys cry
