Elvis' level of respect and appreciation for his fans is considered unique among superstars. His connection with them without paralled.
Elvis had a rare ability-through records, films, concerts, and simply "being" - to communicate something far greater than just entertainment to his audience, fans felt as if they knew him. Romantic fantasies aside, most fans simply felt that Elvis was just like a member of their family. It is a feeling that , even today, brand new fans sense when they delve into the recordings, videos, books and mementos that document the life and works of the incomparable Elvis Presley.
