Elvis Aaron Presley and Priscilla Ann Beaulieu were married in a private ceremony in front of a few close family members and friends on May 1, 1967 at 9:30 AM in a private suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. A press conference and breakfast reception followed. The couple honeymooned for a few days in Palm Springs, California before returning to Memphis. On May 29, 1967, they donned their wedding clothes again and had a second wedding reception in the trophy room at Graceland to accommodate family and friends who were not able to attend the ceremony in Las Vegas.Nine months to the day after their wedding, on Febrary 1, 1968 at 5:01 PM Priscilla gave birth to their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Priscilla is the daughter of Ann Beaulieu and Air Force Captain Joseph Beaulieu, who today is a retired colonel. Captain Beaulieu was stationed in West Germany at the same time as Elvis, Priscilla was introduced to Elvis through a mutual friend in the fall of 1959 during his army stint in West Germany. They formed an instant and lasting bond. Elvis left for home and was discharged from the army in March 1960. The two kept in close touch and Elvis persislent but always the gentleman, finally wore down the Beaulieus until two years later Priscilla was allowed to visit Elvis at his home in Los Angeles. Her first visit to Graceland was for the Christmas holidays of 1962. She moved to Graceland in early 1963 and finished high school at Immaculate Conception in Memphis that spring.
Elvis and Priscilla were devorced in October 1973, though Priscilla retained custody of Lisa Marie, there was no formal schedule of visitations, and Elvis and his daughter spent time together regularly, Elvis and Priscilla remained close friends until his death in August 1977.
Today, Priscilla continues to make her home in Los Angeles and is an actress, business woman and mother. She and Marco Garibaldi have a son, Navarone, born in 1987. Lisa Marie, from her marriage to Danny Keough, has a daughter, Danielle, born in 1989, and a son Benjamin, born in 1992. Lisa Marie was married to singer Michael Jackson, 1994-96 Lisa’s primary focus is on family life, charitable efforts and various professional pursuits.
