Great idea! I was browsing looking for links back to Ireland. My grandfather William Gribbon was born near Redruth, Cornwall but my father believes the family came from Northern Ireland to work in the tin mines. Any info you may have of members of the Gribbon family that went to Cornwall would be gratefully received.

I believe I am a grand-daughter of Michael Gribbon, who was born around 1915 (estimating the age from the age of my grand-mother). I know very little of my grand-father apart from the fact that he is Irish, but unfortunately has been dead for a number of years (probabaly 30 years), so I have never known him. If you find anything out I would be pleased to hear from you.

Enjoyed viewing your page. Will be sending it to a friend. My husband Michael McCann has a brother and sister who with their families live in Nashville. Peter McCann (a songwriter) and Martha McCann Lesnick (aspiring song writer). Our URL is a website for my husband's CD that he recorded 3 1/2 years ago. It is a collection of 13 songs from 8 different wars. Many of the songs have an Irish flavor to them. We recently opened a bed & breakfast in New Haven called "Touch of Ireland". Within the next cou le of weeks it can be found on www.bedandbreakfast.com under New Haven,CT. We have been to Ireland twice and the last time stayed with my husbands second cousins. They took us to the place where his grandfather was born and lived. He came to the US in the early 1900's. Good luck with finding relations.
