The Country Knight Cloggers have retired from performing, effective June 1, 2003. Thank you for all of your support through the years!

The Country Knight Cloggers are a non-profit Country/Western dance company dedicated to promoting country music and dance and the enjoyment of music and dance in general.

Clogging, which historically has looked to many like "Cowboy Tap-dancin'", is a distinctly American form of dance. Descended from Irish step-dancing, it was born in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and is considered by many to be the father of modern tap. Recently, clogging has adapted itself to the rhythms and syncopations of popular dance music and this new hybrid is known by most as "Power Tap". The Country Knight Cloggers are especially known for their unique style, innovative choreography, high energy performances, and their exciting use of clogging, tap, hip-hop, jazz, and other forms of dance. The group dances to an eclectic mix of music, including traditional bluegrass, country, pop, disco, techno, and at times, no music at all.

Formed in October of 1987, the Country Knight Cloggers have represented the City of Los Angeles at rodeos and festivals all across the Western United States, as well as having performed at hundreds of benefits, helping to raise thousands of dollars for local charities.

Since entering the national clogging competition circuit, the team has earned 16 First Place or Grand Champion awards in the Advanced or Championship team categories, all in just five competitions.

As a member of the Southern California Clogging Association, the Country Knight Cloggers regularly promote the art of clogging, not only through their numerous performances and exhibitions, but also by hosting clogging workshops at various dance festivals, as well as by holding regular beginning, intermediate and advanced clogging classes.

Unlike most local dance troupes, the Country Knight Cloggers are not financially sponsored by or affiliated with any business or community-interest group. This independence allows us to focus on promoting the enjoyment of clogging as well as creating cultural awareness of the country/western dance community in general. Therefore, we rely heavily upon the generous donations of our many faithful supporters in order to continue our community outreach and charity fundraising.
