PC Computer Systems Specialist in or near the Entertainment industry. Training employees to better use modern technology, especially computers, and to help the company be ahead of the TECHNOLOGY game! Create templates for spreadsheets, form-letters, databases, and custom print forms from/for and installation of various software and hardware. Perform as consultant to assist company in technological issues.

•     Customize software, documents, and reports to suit the needs of the credit union while complying to changes in Federal Regulations pertaining to credit union documents.
•      Install and upgrade PCs, hardware and software as needed and maintain the integrity of the system.
•     Assure Y2K (Year 2000) compliance and assist management in decisions.
•     Customize the programming of the phone and fax systems to suit the needs of the credit union and train coworkers and management in the new procedures.
•     Technical liaison with technicians of the off-line computer lease company, the on-line data-processing company, and the phone company; regarding new installations, upgrades, malfunctions, and Year 2000 compliance.
•     On site LAN System Administrator.


Operating Systems: DOS 6.22, WIN 3.1, 95, 98SE, XP and some NT in a LAN/WAN.
An abbreviated list of Software: MSWorks 3.0,4.5 and later, Lotus ccMail 5.0 and 6.0, QuattroPro 5.0 for Windows, Sell-Station 6.01 and later Teller Workstation with EXTRA! mate, PrintMaster 3.0 and later with PhotoEnhancer, ChromeData's PCcarbook, CRIterion for Windows loan/database, Crystal Report generator (for creating various interactive loan forms for printing), various Windows and DOS-based software (faxing, scanning, check-reorder systems, American Express Cheque). Proficient with Website design utilizing Netscape 3.0 - 4.5 editor/composer. Online software: Netscape 4.7, MS Internet Explorer 5.5+, America OnLine 7.0+. Personally  created and maintained websites since 1994.
    Personally experienced with online communities / services since 1994. Personally installed phonelines in home to accommodate multiple computers access to the Internet and to move toward creating personal LAN with DSL high-speed internet access.
 

Marketing Assistant
    Create and produce 'on-the-fly' or 'crisis' advertisement and notices for inter-office disbursement throughout the Louisville Division (Southern Indiana, portions of Illinois, and most of Kentucky) of the Kroger Company for the credit union utilizing computer system.
Loan Application/Credit Insurance/Collateral Protection Clerk
    Communicate with credit union members regarding requests for loans and various inquiries relating to their accounts but focusing mainly on credit insurance and claims.
    Communicate with credit union members with collateralized loans the need for sufficient personal vehicle insurance coverage.
    Ombudsman concerning the member's credit union accounts, credit insurance and
vehicle insurance coverages in relation to their loan(s).

All of these financial institution tasks are performed within the policies set by the Board of Directors and Management guided by the Regulations.

Sales and Cash - Banking Clerk

Kept weekly journals of the Louisville Division stores' (over 70) weekly deposits to be reconciled each month with the different banks' statements (over 50). Communicate with the in-store employees regarding any discrepencies. Converted all of my duties to a PC-based platform from the handwritten journals within a year's time. After transferred from Accounting to work at the Credit Union; the Sales and Cash department still continued to use my creations and eventually followed my example and converted all of their work to PC-based format.

All computer and business related classes are no longer offered at Spencerian College. Those classes were transferred to Sullivan Junior Business College after Sullivan bought Spencerian College.

I enjoy having a musician's heart, helping to record over 4 albums; continuing to pursue independent recording producer status as a hobbie, recreation, and relaxation. I am looking for a position that will allow me to pursue my interests and still be a 'Family man' as I strive to improve the world around me with my computer and admininstrative skills.
