We had a GREAT time going back to Texas for 10 wonderful days! Yeah, it was a little hot, but where in the United States during the month of July WASN'T hot???
This is a short pictoral of some of the 3,700+ miles. Other pictures will find their way into here eventurally. If you find a link here, take it and visit with them but remember to come back, ya hear?
The Alamo is in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. Wonderful history of the fight for freedom permeates the grounds. Inside is a list of those who gave their lives for the cause. Among those was Davey Crockett, Jim Bowie, and others from far and wide.
Dusti enjoyed skating on the ice rink in Fort Worth, Texas at the Tandy Center.
The Water Gardens is always spectacular in Fort Worth, Texas. The last scene in the movie "Logan's Run" was filmed here. Dusti and Regina were coming back to the top when I snapped this.
I tried to get Regina to "pull" Excalibur from the stone, but she didn't. She did enjoy Six Flags as we all did and the rest of our Houston visit!
The Space Center in Houston, Texas is a GREAT place to visit!!! Don't miss it if you are anywhere near Houston. They have three different tours you can take on the grounds via tram from the Visitor Center. We visited the Mission Control building.
Dusti played a Docking Simulation game at the Visitor Center. There were several "hands-on" exhibits. Dusti docked her shuttle with the "International SpaceStation" and had 69% of her fuel available! You get a lot for the price of your ticket at the Visitor Center: All the exhibits, the tours, the films, and even all the IMAX during the day!
