Vacation

1999

We had a wild and crazy time one weekend. First, check-in at the hotel in Covington, Kentucky before heading on up I-71 to Paramount King's Island. At exit 12 in Cincinnati, Ohio, we saw an unusual sign for Dick Clark's American Bandstand restaurant and made plans to stop there for supper on the way back to the hotel. Of course, there are plenty of other sites to see in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Star Trek exhibit was at King's Island when we visited. Not every day you get to see  'real, live' out-of-this-world aliens!

We've stopped here to eat each time near Cincy.
What is Dusti looking at so intently?!?!?!?!
DICK CLARK, the eternal teenager, of course!!!

After a horrendous thunderstorm past by the hotel later that night, we hit the hay very exhausted from the day's events. The next morning we headed for Mainstrasse Village in Covington before heading to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky.

The GooseGirl fountain is something to see in the Mainstrasse Village in Covington.
Dusti waves her 'parade' wave in front of the fountain.
This plaque is made from the bronze from the battleship Maine. The plaque is on a brickwall at the park at the end of the MainStrasse Village.

Newport Aquarium
Dusti's favorites at the aquarium is the turtle exhibit.
The sharks are the biggest draw!
Don't forget to stop awhile and watch the penquins!
